"When I paint flowers I strive to convey the energy and beauty which lies behind the form.

Working with portraits of my family members, my intention is to reveal the feelings in the expression or situation - find the soul behind the face - the intensity of childhood.

The crosses,  with their simple, centered shape stand for themselves - akin to a mantra, vibrating in the background. The cross symbolizes the intersection between the physical and the spiritual - the earthly and the heavenly - concentration.

The woven pictures explore interconnectedness. The diversity of colors, wound together creates a structure of three dimensional texture. The individual pieces woven together to create unity."
